An 8-Page erotic comic short story.

Paleolithic started out life as a question to followers of the Terminal Hair tumblr and Twitter accounts: what do you want to see me draw? Turns out, it was cavemen! A lot of my favorite gay erotic artists have drawn stories about cavemen, so I was happy to oblige.

It was interesting to dig into the anthropological and archaeological consensus about how Neanderthals lived, what they wore, what they did, and so on. Over the past couple of years, there has been a wealth of new research into our distant European cousins. Much of the junk “science” that made up our understanding of Neanderthals has been given some overdue scrutiny. Scientists have reexamined the racist preconceptions about what the shape of the skull means for a person's humanity, and as such, our knowledge about Neanderthals has evolved to understanding that they were fully-formed people with cultures and decidedly human thoughts.

That our position as the dominant human species on the planet had less to do with our inherent superiority and more to do with a string of bad luck for our cousins is a much more compelling story to pull out of the evidence.

As such, I tried working these ideas into the small cultural elements (grooming, clothing, housing, language) that exist in Paleolithic.
