O-Type Hypergiant is set in a distant future where humanity’s discovery of a method of physically folding spacetime has given us the means to spread throughout the galaxy. The entire energy output of a star can be harnessed by reducing the spacetime it occupies to a two-dimensional point, stored inside a box called a stellar occluder core.

We’ve sent great quantities of semi-disposable, manufactured humanoids to discover and catalog new stars that would be suitable to be captured. Mixed from a commercial powder, that coalesces into new, initially-identical people, Instamen were designed to be highly efficient, collaborative and deeply compatible for the sake of mission coherence and the reduction of space-related stresses. Fraternizing isn’t only common; it’s a cornerstone of their culture.

Jamie, James, and Jim are three JAMES brand Instamen who are struggling to reconcile their pre-programmed instincts with the inclinations they've developed with age when a malfunction in their spacetime-folding ship threatens to alter their priorities.
